‘Letzte Woche Donnerstag’ (‘Last week Thursday’)
This book is a contemporary witness, an artifact. Its form and its content (dpa news for an entire day) move in a space between ‘actuality/past’ as well as ‘speed/deceleration’. Due to global networking, modern media are always up to date; the Internet is the greatest change in information technology since the invention of printing. How will our understanding of history change when all information can be changed and rewritten all the time? Only contemporary witnesses allow us to experience history. The book of the future will not be a pure mediator of knowledge, but must be understood as an object that tells its own story - history in shape so to say. The book was awarded with the Förderpreis für junge Buchgestaltung der Stiftung Buchkunst Frankfurt (Sponsorship Award for Young Book Design from the Frankfurt Book Art Foundation) in 2013.
