Many people use an appointment planner to plan their own future. ‘Planning from Monday, January 01, 2018 00:00 to Sunday, January 06, 2019 24:00’ fulfills all the useful functions of a scheduler and offers its user the opportunity to plan their time meticulously and hourly. The idea behind the planning concept is to always be prepared for everything and to be able to rule out unplanned events. In order to draw attention to the fact that you can plan your future, but unpredictable events are nevertheless omnipresent and often unavoidable, this planner sees itself as an ironic instance with built-in disruptors that function as variable covers. The book made the Shortlist (15 of 139 books submitted) at the ‘Prize for Young Book Design‘ (Förderpreis für junge Buchgestaltung) of the Book Art Foundation (Stiftung Buchkunst) 2017 in Frankfurt.
