Lenz – Georg Büchner
Lenz wanders through the mountains. Trees twist into the surreal, valleys blur, and the ground beneath his feet seems to sway. Reality and madness merge as the landscape disintegrates along with his mind. The experimental typography follows the shape of a mountain range and dissolves on those parts of the page where Lenz succumbs to madness. Long sentences break apart into flowing, poem-like passages. Visually, the distorted perception of nature is echoed through 3D scans. Areas captured with only a few photos are supplemented with graphic surfaces, creating an image that appears both realistic and abstract. This visual layer evokes an unsettling feeling. The scan on the fold-out poster cover can be viewed and experienced in any space via VR using Adobe Aero. The image is also realized as a blind embossing on the book cover.
