Less in more – Fragment of everyday perception
A single tone. A single sip. A single penny. Reduction – focusing on a moment, a small part, a fragment of everyday perception. Artifacts are man-made objects that permanently surround us. They are ‘self-evident’, do not require any explanation or attention, are ignored and yet they are an important part of our lives. ‘Less in more’ is a walk to the limits of what we would describe as ordinary, functional or logical. The individual objects serve as an ‘enlargement’ of the smallest parts of what is already there. The various observations are intended to reveal what is hidden, confront the viewer with his own normality and offer the opportunity to recognize and learn to appreciate the true value of everyday things.
