Single Seat
The starting point for ‘Single Seat’ was to identify ‘good seats’ in the Frankfurt subway. A place whose neighboring places are rarely used, so that you can keep a lot of distance from other passengers (privacy, corona). The collected data was then processed in various ways and ultimately presented audibly. An audible infographic was created in the form of a record, which melodiously makes the occupancy of subway cars perceptible. The system: empty means the keynote C, if the seat is occupied the melody rises or falls by one pitch. 4-seater seats were always recorded, from the beginning to the end of a car and from right to left.
