Altea consists of 7 modified plastic stacking chairs, which have been modified by various ‘tuning’ methods and thus become new, independent objects. The monobloc chair is the epitome of a globalized world. It takes 1 minute to produce such a chair. It is cheap, stackable, weatherproof, stable and light. Well-known methods from car tuning such as maximizing, aestheticizing, optimizing, combining and exaggerating were used in order to design new, independent chairs.
