Korrex 4762 etc.
“Korrex 4762 etc.” is an anthology of 15 CDs with soundtracks which are based on machine noises from the Design Department at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. To do this, noises and tones produced by 15 machines in different rooms of the department were recorded. These noises were then analyzed, converted into written language (similar to comic language (ssst, boom, groan)) and a score with different “individual voices” was created for each device/noise, which was supposed to represent the entire sound spectrum of the analyzed machine noise. This resulted in 15 “soundtracks” that were “composed” and recorded with the help of the human voice and modern recording techniques of the following machines: Kärcher 103467, Kärcher A2004, Sixt 935, Aircon, Albert Frankenthal 30737 (all screen printing workshop) , FWF 90, Korrex 4762, Polar-Mohr Standard 115 (all printing workshop), V/VF/184 (Jungstub), bizhub C253 (foyer), Imagepress C1 (room 1.21), Fön 1000, Kodamatic 400G, CW 22x30 (all photo laboratory ), HP Color Laserjet CP 3505 (room 1.16).
